Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

I offer flexible in-person sessions at your home or DUO58.

How long is each session?

Kristie meets in-person with students for 55 minutes.
Generally 1-2 times per week.

What are your tutoring hours?

Monday - Thursday 12 -7 pm
(I can make exceptions if necessary)

What happens during the free consultation?

You and your student meet online with Kristie to discuss challenges, goals, and create a personalized learning plan based on their individual needs. Consultation generally lasts 20-30 minutes.

What are the You Can! Math Tutoring session fees?

Our pricing is simple and transparent. 
Elementary students $50/session  
Middle School- Geometry $60/session

An additional $10 per session for in home tutoring within:
32828, 32825, 32826

That’s exactly why we’re here! I specialize in helping students rebuild confidence and find success, even if math has been a struggle.

Communication:

I believe open communication helps students thrive. I’ll share quick updates as needed after sessions. For deeper discussions about progress or learning strategies, I’m happy to schedule a brief parent check-in. 

Commitment to Your Student’s Success:

My goal is simple; I want to help your child gain confidence, understanding, and independence in math. These policies create structure and consistency so we can focus on what matters most, learning that lasts.

Payment & Billing 

To keep scheduling simple and your student’s spot secure: 

Payments are due at the beginning of each month, based on the number of scheduled sessions. This monthly payment reserves your child’s session time and ensures consistent instruction. 

New families begin with a one month “pay per session” trial period.
This allows you to make sure we’re a good fit before committing to a regular prepaid schedule. 

If you ever need to adjust your schedule or plan, we’ll review your upcoming sessions together to make sure everything stays clear and fair. 

Accepted Payment Methods:

Zelle, check, or cash (no additional fees) 
Credit/debit card payments accepted with a 3% processing fee.

Missed Sessions 

If you need to cancel a session with more than 48 hours’ notice, I’ll do my best to reschedule within two weeks as availability allows. 

Unfortunately, no-shows or last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours) can’t be rescheduled or refunded. (Of course, I understand family emergencies & if you wake up sick)

Your student’s spot is valuable. Many families are waiting for openings, so advance notice keeps things running smoothly for everyone.

Cancellation & Rescheduling 

Your student’s tutoring time is reserved just for them. To respect everyone’s schedules: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full. 

Of course, life happens. Illness or true emergencies will always be handled with understanding. 

Consistent attendance helps your student maintain progress and confidence.

Hi, I’m Kristie, founder of You Can! Math Tutoring. I’ve been helping elementary through high school students succeed in math since 1986. My love for tutoring started after I struggled with math as a young student. Everything changed when a caring teacher believed in me. After nearly four decades of tutoring, my passion is helping each student experience that same transformation of frustration to confidence. This changes everything.
